Lodging Information

The "VSU Sharing the Wealth Physical Education Conference" hotel headquarters is Villas by the Sea located on the north end of Jekyll Island. Accommodations at Villas by the Sea is primarily condominiums. For reservation information call toll free: 1-800-841-6262. Reservations usually go fast, so book early!

If you are looking for a more traditional hotel, the Jekyll Inn (1-800-736-1046) is also located on Jekyll Island. The Jekyll Inn offers traditional rooms as well as two and three bedroom condos.

When making reservations identify yourself as a "Sharing the Wealth" attendee in order to receive the conference rate. The Holiday Inn will not be available for the 2007 STW Conference. At this time, the building was torn down and there is no definite information on what, if any, hotel will be rebuilt in its place.

Travel Information

Jacksonville (Florida) airport is located approximately 60 miles from the Island and is easily accessible via Interstate 95. The Jacksonville airport is served by a number of commercial airlines. Brunswick Airport is approximately 15 miles from the Island. You can rent a car from any number of companies:

	Avis: (1-800-331-1600); From Jacksonville the daily rental fee with unlimited mileage is $44; From Brunswick the daily rental fee for 200 miles per day is $48. (All drivers must be at least 25 years old.)
	Hertz: (1-800-654-3131); From Jacksonville, approximately $44* per day for unlimited mileage; From Brunswick, the daily rental fee is $47* for 180 miles a day. (All drivers must be at least 25 years old.)
