Assignment objective: As a component of the e-portfolio, this assignment is intended for you to think about why you want to be an educator (not necessarily limited to being a teacher in the traditional sense) and which dispositions do you possess that will help you to be an effective teacher.

Length: Approximately 2-3 pages, double-spaced in 12 point font.

Activity: Write about why you wish to be an educator and why you feel that you would be an effective one. To help you in this endeavor, you may use the Conceptual Framework Principles as a guide (although this is not a requirement for the assignment).

Assessment: Your work will be assessed based on how well the candidate articulates and supports the required aspects of the assignment. You will also be assessed on your grammatical accuracy and your writing style (so, please proof your work).

Note: Be sure to store this document to a disk or a CD-ROM so that you may upload to your portfolio at the appropriate time.

Grade weight: 35% of the portfolio grade.
