the image is resized proportionally and the aspect ratio of the image is
preserved. If you drag a side handle, the image will be distorted. |
 | On the Edit menu, choose Image Properties. In the Appearance tab,
select Specify Size in the Size section. You can adjust the image dimensions
by pixels or a percentage. To proportionally change the image dimensions,

PowerPoint
Inserting a PowerPoint presentation into a web page is a 3 step process:
(Step1) You must save your PowerPoint presentation in a special way. (Step 2)
you must copy into the folder list of your web site a folder and a file that was
created when you saved PowerPoint in the special way. (Step 3) Create a
hyperlink on your web page to your PowerPoint presentation.
STEP 1: Saving your PowerPoint presentation:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation and open File menu and select Save As
Web Page
- At the dialog box that appears, be sure that you are saving this to
your floppy disk. Click the Publish button that appears in the dialog box and
you will see the dialog box shown below

 | In the top portion of the dialog box, indicate whether you want to
publish the entire PowerPoint presentation or indicate which slides you do
want to publish. The top section also has a box that you check if you want
your speaker notes to show. Not checking the box means that the speaker
notes for each slide will NOT be published. |
 | In the middle section of the dialog box, indicate what browser
support you want—the usual selection is either the second or the third
choice in the list. |
 | In the last section of the dialog box, be sure that in the File Name:
box that you indicate drive A and the name of the PowerPoint presentation
(for example: A:/PowerPoint 1.htm. |
 | Click the Publish button at the bottom of the
dialog box. It will take a few minutes for the program to save your
PowerPoint presentation correctly on your floppy disk. |
STEP 2: Copy Folder and File into Folder List of Your Web Site
3. After your PowerPoint presentation has been published for use on the
web (on your floppy disk), you should see a folder named the same as your
PowerPoint presentation and a .htm file also named the same as your PowerPoint
presentation (see below). These two items must be COPIED and put into your web
folder on the file server. Select this folder and file and from the Edit menu,
select COPY.

4. In FrontPage, be sure your Folder List is open and select (highlight)
the top level (see below) and from Edit menu select PASTE. The necessary files
will be imported to your web site.

Step 3: Create HyperLink on Web Page to Your PowerPoint
5. Go to the web page that you want to display your PowerPoint
presentation. Underline the text that will be the hyperlink to the PowerPoint
presentation and click the Hyperlink button. You will see a dialog box similar
to the one shown below:

6. Select (highlight) the .htm file that you copied to your web site and
click the OK button. This creates a hyperlink to the PowerPoint presentation.
When your web viewers click this hyperlink, they will see your PowerPoint
presentation.
