The Georgia
Educational
Researcher
is a blind peer reviewed journal published bi-annually in the Fall and Spring by the
Georgia Educational Research Association (GERA). The journal has
been out of print for approximately three years. Prior to 1999 the
journal was available in paperback form. As of the Fall 2003 edition, GER
was made available to the public free of charge on the Internet at http://coefaculty.valdosta.edu/lschmert/gera
. Beginning in 2012 the journal Website will be moved to
http://www.gaera.org/ger_journal.html
Contents of the journal may be reproduced in part or in their
entirety for educational purposes without permission from the
publisher. All reproductions must include the appropriate notation of
publication information by GER and the statement that the
material was reproduced with the permission of the publisher. Manuscripts
will be considered for publication if they are original
material and are not being considered for publication
elsewhere. In addition to
traditional research articles using a variety of methodologies and
representative forms, GER will consider publication of
research reports, review essays, interviews, commentaries, think pieces,
book reviews, articles on teaching educational research,
reflections on doing educational research, practitioner reflections,
and action research. At times, theme-focused editions will be published. GER
welcomes proposals for theme-focused editions and volunteers to edit
such editions.
