Minutes of September 19, 2001 Meeting

Present: Frank Barnas (chair), Hugh Bailey, Jim Brignati, Louis Levy, Jerry Siegrist, Ruth Stonestreet, Fred Ware.

1. Call to order at 3:05 pm.

2. Dr. Levy discussed the importance of program planning, reviews, policy and procedure. He reiterated the importance of program reviews for new academic degrees. He also noted that the IPC could assist his office in reviewing budgets and programs in the areas of strategic planning.

3. The issue of enrollment management was discussed, particularly regarding how the IPC could assist the Administration.

4. There was a consensus reached that long-range planning should be a goal of the IPC.

5. There was a consensus reached that the University’s mission statement and strategic plan should be reviewed. This would be placed on the agenda of the next meeting.

6. As the meeting lacked a quorum and there were no actionable items on the agenda, no votes were taken.

7. The meeting adjourned at 4:00 pm.
