Purpose of the Lesson
The purpose of this lesson is to familiarize students with the various definitions of the term "curriculum" and to other factors that affect the curriculum.  These other factors include the guiding principles of the organization, the conceptual framework, and the overall educational purpose of different levels of education.

It is critical that you read the assigned chapters and complete any prerequisite readings prior to completing the assignments or exam question(s) for this lesson.
